The Fictive Kin Equity Lab is a new (ad)venture for me, which I started partly in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As an “alt-academic” with twenty years of cross-sectoral experience in equity and social justice, I was not surprised by the stark inequities being revealed by the pandemic.
